Just wondering how much power a edelbrock performer intake could make, I was thinking of getting one just to use for daily driving and swap over to a single plane for the drag strip. I know they run out of power at 5500 prm, but can they handle a decent 232/242 cam and afr heads and still make good streetable power and good power for autocross racing?
If anyone can post 1/4 mile times they are running or dyno results with the performer (not the performer rpm) intake I would appreciate it.

It has been stated that with a good exhaust system (headers, 3" pipe, etc.) the Performer is worth about 20 hp on a 305.
If you're looking for a nice street/strip intake, check out the Performer RPM.
I know someone who's running 11.5s with one on top of a 355.

Why not just swap carbs to a 600cfm on the street, and around 800cfm strip?
You'll keep more rpm and gain good throttle response and street manners.
I don't race Autocross so I'm not a good person to as about that..

Running 12.88 with a ZZ4 manifold which is probably about the
same as the Performer.
