yeah I guess that is amazing but not as amazing as the 14.629@94.34 I ran on the next run :p

Well I wouldn't say its stock, I I ran open TB, descreened maf, and pulled the drivebelt.

Other then that 100% stock, open diffy on original factory times with 34,500 miles on them.

full slip..

Yes he has to be the best stick shifter in the south. All those years dating Ms. Palmer made you the king.

Come on man, give the guy a break. I know you are kidding around, but don't get too concieted on how fast your car is. There is always someone out there that is faster. Just relax for a while would ya?

LOL, worst running 4 door GTP out there was running 13.4, his mods were CAI, Pulley and CPU total cost under 500.00

By the way mike what do you think of this....

-Free up the exhaust, still bone stock so maybe .2-.3 a second?
-gears(3.42s, I have 3.23s now)
-LSD
-lcas, panhard rod, little bit stickier tires... cut a 1.9 60'(I cut 2.0 on crap street tires all day with a 5-speed and 3.42s in a slower car)
-ls1 drivesahft(some v6ers have gained 1mph off of one)

My 60' going from a 2.159-1.9X could be worth, .2-.4 maybe?( the whole every 1/10th in the 60 is worth 2/10ths in the 1/4)

Between the 2 might put me at 13.999?

I wonder if a 1.8 is possible with drag radials...

Not necessarily..... sometimes simply decreasing the 60' doesn't equate to the same decrease in overall ET. If you want a little more stick, unhook the end links on the front swaybar and pick up an airbag for the right rear coil spring. Those two may get your 60' down without having to get a LSD. 1.9s are possible with a peg leg.

Eric, as I think you found out, I have alot of knowledge on 3.8s..... e-mail me and I can tell you how to squeeze out more power and hook it up. When all is done, I smell a challenge against your old car. ;)

I see no reason why that car wont run a 14.3 w/ just an LSD and some DRs. You could easily cut a 1.9 or a 1.8 once you have those two. You should definitely be in the 13s internally stock though. .7 isn't too hard to pick up with bolt-ons.

Sorry to be dumb? But what is a LSD?

And from a Drag racing point of view. 60Ft does equal better ET... will not help your MPH but can lower the ET with go driving. And I must also add. YOu have to be a excellent stick driver... because I cant drive a sick for Sh#T!

2.3 with a 310 rwhp Dyno proven SS. And still can't get a 13.5 or better ?

Oh well ...I guess i need to keep trying.

LSD is limited slip differential AKA posi.

yeah I am really considering modding really considering keeping stock...

been wondering what a cutout will do for my car as well since I am running dead stock...

Was also thinking about quit being a pu55y, and strong arm the exhaust loose, where the S-pipe and Ipipe meet and still consider what times I get on $0 :)

I have an air compressor, air ratchet and zaw saw now. What I learned on John’s 3.8 was the cutout made the car sound like crap so get it welded in. John has his welded now so there are no leaks. He has it after the cat so it is not as LOUD as most.

Boxed LCA’s and Panhard made the car feel better to John, I can not tell the difference in the ride though.

Just be careful. Your car is so nice now as is, but if you mod correctly it will be just as nice. I just did some mods when I had the Z that I think made the car devalued because it was not professional enough. It is the little details when doing things so if ya need help to make it easier let me or john know.

hehe don't worry I have heard plent of modded 3.8Ls they sound like ass...

that is why I consider a cutout over a catback, I can go back to pretty much stock, with 3 wingnuts. Also LSD is a option on my car :) so not really a mod...

Ya I agree if I ever got a Z again I would keep the stock exhaust and just get a cut out welded in and use that and save the dollars for other things.

don't get me wrong I love a good catback but I want this car back to stock, or stock condition with ease, not really done with a catback exhaust...
