Pandamonkey 12-19-2003, 12:32 PM I would imagine that everyone is getting together with some friends or mabye just staying at home with a loved one.
What's your favorite drink?
Beer all the time? Mabye a little bit of hard alcohol? Wine drinkers out there?
I like a little of this, a little of that...........
Some Rye (Gibson's Finest) and Coke is tasty and frequent.
I enjoy beers with the guys if that's what it is.
Wine with dinner and a bit for after is good too.

BennyBoy 12-19-2003, 04:57 PM Crown Royal with ginder ale and lime. Other drinks with hard alcohol mixed are good too... and some hard stuff is good straight up on ice. Anyone ever had Fireball Whiskey? There is a bonus to it... if you get sick after drinking it, your puke smells like cinnamon... lol.
I don't drink beer or wine.

NorthernSS 12-19-2003, 09:42 PM For the holidays its always Eggnog and Dark Rum
Beer is always Canadian
Hards: Gibsons Finest and Coke or Rusty Nails or Jack on the Rocks or Henny and Coke or Vodka and OJ or Doctor Peppers or etc... I could go on forever because we are alcoholics.
A good drink we made up the other weekend was Vodka, Amaretto and pineapple juice. We call this one leg opener!!! We just had the bottles and decided to mix.
Speaking of, I have to go to the Liquor Store and fill a void in my life :p

I like rye and coke. I used to drink Crown Royal but switched to Gibson's Finest cause it's about 20% cheaper but taste just as good. I like B-52 shooters to back it up. Don't really like beer except for European brands. Apple cider on a hot day goes down good for me. I drink my favorite beverages in my firehawk cup when I'm on the road. :alert:
Pandamonkey 12-20-2003, 11:49 AM For all you Whiskey drinkers, here's one you have to try - a good time would be new years.
My wife is always getting me to make her slushy drinks to have in one of those fancy tall Martini glasses - I wanted something like that too, but something a bit more up my alley.
Here it is.
Whiskey Slush!!
- 1/2 gal(s) Whiskey
- 4 - Tea Bags
- 2 cup(s) Boiling Water
- 12 oz Orange Juice Concentrate
- 12 oz Lemonade Concentrate
- 8 cup(s) Cold Water
- 2 cup(s) Sugar
Directions: Boil 2 cups of water with 4 tea bags. Let steep until strong tea. Add 12 oz of orange juice concentrate, 12 oz lemonade concentrate, 1/2 gal whiskey, 8 cups cold water, and 2 cups of sugar. Add more cold water and sugar to taste. Mix well. Place whole mixture in freezer until slushey. Serve in any large cup for a great time.
It may look like this makes a lot, but if you are a steady drinker all night - you won't have much trouble polishing it off.
Can easily be had by 2 people.
Enjoy!:)
Mohito
-White rum (preferably a good Cuban rum)
-1/2 tsp sugar
-Juice of 1/2 lime
-mint - crushed stalks, leaves left to float (preferably mohito mint)
-topped off with soda or mineral water
-serve in hiball
dry white wine
scotch whiskey, neat. I cannot understand why anyone would destroy the flavour of whiskey with anything other than ice and or water.

Christmas time favourites
Rum 'n' nog
Akavit (hard alcohol that tastes something like caraway seeds)

I should give that a try.
I had a few ginger ale slurpee's with Crown Royal added in the summer. Those were nice. :)
[¤ÅzÑ_SüÞÊR§PØrT¤] 12-21-2003, 02:44 AM Do a search in the lounge for the drink post. Tons of good drinks there. My faves would be Crown Royal, Bek Se Ju, COLD Sake, I don't mind wine, and beer is always good.
White Tiger and LIIT are my fave mixed drinks...
DaveGrant94 12-21-2003, 10:51 AM I like of bit of everything, really depends on the occassion though, and of course, not all at once.
Wine, with dinner or at a swish wine bar: Almost always red, preferably a nice Crianza from the Rioja region of Spain, or a Chilean Chianti.
Beer, at the pub or chillin at home: Preferably local brewed pale or amber ale, or Czech lagers.
Hi-ball, at the bar/club: Rye and Ginger, and that's about it.

Whisky, not Whiskey. Whiskey is Irish ;)
But, agreed, a good single malt should not be ruined with anything. Although some malts react well to a small dash if water (no more than a few drops), helps to losen the flavour. I tend to drink Bowmore or Glenmorangie, although I can't ever say no to a nice 18 year Macallan. :)
That's about all I drink. :)

Enjoy!:) Oh my god. That amount of whiskey between to people is asking for trouble. :dead: Did you know over 40,000 russian people die of alcohol poisening every year? What a killer drink. :p I heard about this russian vodka drinking contest and the guy that won dropped dead 15 minutes later. I guess Matt is immune.
