Hey who all here is from the CS area? I've noticed two or three people so far.

I would ask what your f-body looks like so I could keep an eye out, but since there are sooo many here, thats just about pointless unless you have some significant body mods. lol

Oh yeah, I drive a white/burgandy '86 Monte Carlo SS. The one that USED to be really loud... http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif

Yeah, I remember you Kyle. What have you been up to lately, I haven't seen you at Nasty or the meetings since then. I guess I've only been a few times also since then though.

Yep, I'm still running the stock tailpipes on my car (they're kind of tucked up and hidden), I can't decided if I want to keep my car looking stock or get some new tailpipes.

I saw your car last night at Hastings in bryan, and you have a damn clean car. Sounds good too. It didn't come with the Lt1 did it? I have heard from some people that some 92's came with them, but I don't know. Hope to see you out there next time. and back to you rick, I want to see you run that purple supercharged cobra and see exactly how you two stack up. You might want to borrow some E.T.'s though. and get some damn suspension first.

no, 92's never came with LT1s, or 6spds for that matter. http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif It originally had a 305TBI motor and an automatic. Yeah, I didn't stay at Hastings very long, some friends called and we ended up heading to Northgate to meet up with them. Maybe next week I'll stick around longer.

He shows up to car club on et streets and when some one calls him out he has some excuse why he doesn't want to race...BUT when a stock t/a or Camaro shows he wants a piece of it LOL....
I'm looking forward to this Sat night, me and Raymond and some other auto with spray are suposed to go out and run em, should be fun.

Anyways Rick, I talked to Duane today (the guy with the blue foxbody, solid roller 347) and he said that he is waiting for his new fuel pump to come in adn then he will be out. He dynoed and on motor he put 403 to the ground but at about 5200 his fuel starts dropping fast. So he is going to put the new pump on and hope for about 425-430 to the ground. Anyways He said that he will try to get out tomorrow so that you can see his car.

Aaron,
Yes I still have the seats available. I will do a money plus trade on cloth seats aswell(firebird cloth seats). My brother says he will buy them at the end of the summer but if I can find a buyer before then that would be even better. Go ahead and ask your friend with the th350 to come by car club. ALOT of people have been suggesting I keep my t56 in the car so I will prob just do gears right now and see what 60ft's I can muster. If it doesn't work out then the th350 will definately be a go. Again, I rather do a th350 conversion so I would like to talk to your friend. We'll see how the t56 does at a nicely prepped track like HRP before I go ahead with the th350 though.

yea, thats were we went to last night anyways....
We seriouly need to speak to an Oreileys or somebody that is car related and come up with some deal so we can meet in their parking lot and not get hasseled by the cops. Its gotten to the point that between the 16 year old rice/farmers doing burnouts and by the cops driving through to intimidate people,it's not so fun to go out anymore. Personally, I can't wait until the temperatures drop so I can go back to the track rather than these car club things...

We do need to get a place like Oreileys or something to be an official hangout. We don't need a huge parking lot honestly since the large groups happen only about four times a year really(beggining and ending of the fall and spring semester). Personally, I agree with Scott on the Academy lot, it suxs. The location sucks and we will be kicked out. It is only a matter of time. With an official hangout, it will be alot harder to be kicked out and since it is "official", we will need some type of "leader" to speak to the establishment for us. This does give him or her the power to kick out the idiots that ruin things for everyone else. My vote goes to Oreileys.
Brook speak to the manager about this. I think the A&M sports car dud http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif got in with them and NAPA by getting discounts there to help their sales....and who better to bring them business than the guys who are always trying to figure out what to break next in their cars http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif
Rick

ps. To the guy with the Cobra, I can get you a good place. I got my inspection sticker there open headers http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif...so I think you'll be ok. Do you have any type of service engine light on?Contact me via email and I can help you get that sticker this weekend.

Yes, black97Z28, Chris Prause is selling a blower currently. Email him for details or page him in the Texas section. He will be gone out of town though after tonight for like a week or so, I'd email him tonight for your best chance at getting a hold of him.

Was his name Mike Lau? Not sure where Mike was taking his (he has a '01 Red drop-top) or what all the mods he was getting, but I do know its alot.

Mike also has a '01 GMC C3 with the 6.0 and soon to be supercharged that also has a VERY nice stereo system. http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif

I will be coming down Wednesday night with my car. Kinda miss being around there so I thought I would drive down after work to go to the car club. Any challangers? Rick? Raymond? I heard you guys took me and Jordans spot as the top dawgs of the area. I will try to get Kyle Mckenzie to drive his T/A and follow me down there also. I hope the weather permits though.

Hey, first of all I just want to reiterate that car club is at the old Academy at the corner of Texas Ave. and George Bush Drive. Second, I can't wait to see the legendary Tony's car. I have heard so many good things about it. Guess what guys? That fool with the used motor sold it to someone else. I am going to take my old motor up to dallas to get it rebuilt Wed morning. So I should have the car back by the end of next week. And as far as having the baddest car in town, I know that I won't for a long while, but in a couple of months you might be having to contend with a cammed, blown 355 from me. Rick, I will be coming for you, but not until I beat Grant and Raymond. Good luck with the T-top. Wed, I bet that my friend Matt(blue cammed V6) will let you borrow his to go race. If only it would stop raining...

He was having some oil pressure problems and an oil leak. We thought it may be the valve covers leaking since he has AFR's now. Or possibly a loose oil fliter. He changed his oil filter and put heavier oil in it and it has had no issues since. I think that he will probibly end up keeping it. When you have gone as far as he has the you take a huge lose by selling it.

Tony , "THAT" was one hell of a race !!! I really enjoyed it !!! It's GOOD to race a friend and not have any hard feelings !!!! I'm gonna get some BFG drag radials and have them ready for ya next time !! We both spun pretty good , and it's always been a good race !!! I'm proud just to get an even match against the famous Tony Sheppard !!! It gives me a better idea of what my car "COULD" run if properly set up , but that race was "AWESOME" , my car performed flawlessly , and our race is going to be the "TALK" of the town for a while !!! So next time we'll run both ways , and that will give me an indication of how I could do out of the hole. I'll probably put the 1.6 RR's on there before we go again and pick up a few ponies , and if we both run on drag radials , it'll be a closer race , and we "MIGHT" have to try the spray !!! Good seein ya again , and you're car sounded Real good !!! Keep me posted , and some time I'll have to drive up to you're area and you can show me all the HOT SPOTS !! Ed

Thats great Ed. I will be at the Bryan lot on Wednesdays from now on. We will eventually get kicked out of the Academy one so we might aswell. Plus we still have somewhat an easy acess to the highway.
All we need is to somehow make the "wednesday night meet" official so we can start to boot the jack asses who ruin things for everyone else.

Rick , We'll race once on the motor and once on the spray , K ??? I need to order my BFG Drag Radials first though , that thing gets kinda hairy on the juice !!! I'll race you on the motor for just the hell of it , regardless of what everybody says , I don't spray unless the other person is !! Ask Jonathan Akers how often I fill my bottle ?? And ask Dempsy or Jim at NAPA the same question ??? I use one bottle a year , and thats mostly playing out on the feeder road right here by my house to see how well the car will do !! That 434 is one bad MO-FO , I don't need to spray !! The car just barely hooks up on just the motor alone , remember I'm running BONE STOCK bfg street radials !!! On the spray is one HELL of a ride !!!! http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif I filled one bottle at NAPA back in April , and its still half full , I'm fixin ti fill my spare over at Jonathans , just in case something serious comes up and I need a full bottle for both stages , but I've got to get some stickums first !!! JCason

Yeah, I know Justin Putz. He is building a charger, but it is taking him some time. Mopars are way to expensive. For everyone curious, here is the set-up I am working on. The car is an 82 Camaro Berlinetta. Lets see, here is the motor, 355, TRW forged pistons 9.7 to 1 compressions, 5.7 forged rods, Comp Xtreme 274 cam, Pro Action Iron Lightning Cylinder heads (flow almost the same as Trick Flow 23* but more reasonable prices), Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Edelbrock 750 carb, 3.42 gears, TH-350 tranny, 2600 stall, oh and I almost forgot an NX Kit juicing around 150 http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif She will be done and on the streets sometime after Christmas. Block is going to the machine shop today and my pistons and cam just came in. Just saving a little money for the heads and carb now. Nitrous kit is gonna be a Christmas gift from my girlfriend and oparents.

jimbo95Z28

Funny you mention burnouts Jeremy. Ed, after you left the cops came and kicked us out of Academy because of complaints of someone burning out. I think fudruckers is a good idea especially if one of the managers is there and can tell the dumbasses to go away(not talking about you ed). I just want a car club without rice, Is that too much to ask for? I would be more than happy to meet at fudruckers, and it is smaller, so maybe not as much rice will be attracted to it, or at least they can't all fit with their double and triple parking.

JurisAg02

I say we make an official car club and have someones house or designated area such as Oreilies as the meeting place. That way we don't get kicked out, keep it small and organized where we all know who is who so people will want to behave and not end up getting us kicked out. The wednesday car club thing has not been working now for a long time. It is not worth going to anymore. Hopefully someone with some "leadership" skills can step in and start an official club thats fun to attend and be part of once again!

Fudds is a bad idea, we need a parking lot with just one owner so if he/she gives us consent the chances of getting kicked out are small. At Fudds for example, lots of businesses share that space and even if Fudds agrees with it I guarantee you the other stores wont and we will be in the same situation that we are in now.

whatever, the businesses come first and if one complains the owner of the parking lot will cave in....thats why I still say pick out a parking lot with just one business on it and get the consent of it to reduce the likelihood of getting kicked out.

aggiez28: I kinda wondered that since no one uses it for that (i guess only the A&M car club can use it).....but I don't know if I've ever seen a school cop out there around 10pm.....

If everyone was a member of the A&M car club (well at least most everybody, I'm not see loser comment above lol) couldn't we say we are just meeting there for that, since that is a school org?

hey Rick,

this is jason, jennifer's cousin. whats been going on ? you guys could also try the winn dixie parking lot now that they are out of business. The manager at the Bryan O'Reilly's is a friend of mine and it's already been ok'ed , but it's up to ya'll , by the time you youngun's are starting to gather , this old fool is headed for the warm comfy spot !!! I tried to organize an F-Body BBQ last year but mother nature wouldn't cooperate , so about the middle of next month I'm gonna give it another shot. My house sits on two acres of land so there'll be plenty of parking , and I'm going to supply the meat ,beans and potato salad , I guess we'll shoot for the 14th. I need somebody to organize the extras , like a keg and chips and dip , and extra chairs and at least one long table or a couple of small ones. I live by the bypass , so anybody that's feelin frisky can shoot over to the feeder road where there's a quarter marked off !! E-Mail me or post a message. I might even let a mustang or two attend , just cuz they taste good !!! http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif Ed

Now I have to go down to the tax office and buy a new one and put it on my car. When the cop pulled me over I kissed enough ass to just get a warning, but still. if we run out of space at Orilley's then we will probably go there. But last week, at one time we had 15 F-bods, 4 Mustang GT's, and 2 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4's. I'd say that this location is working out awesome. We just need to make sure that it is kept clean, and rubber free. We got complaints last week of trash. I am going to make sure that everybody knows wed.

I need a little help from the local motorheads. My car's fuel pressure just fell from 6-7 psi to 2-3 psi for no apparent reason. I have messed with the regulator most of the day and have come up with nothing. I can get it up to 6 psi until I start the car, then it goes right back down. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I may not have an F-bod but at least it's not an import. Thanks.

ps. rick, if you want to run, we can run on my terms. I am satisfied with the last race http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif You sure are defensive. It is not like it really matters. The only reason I told people is because I knew that you weren't trying, and this is going to be my only chance to brag. You also didn't shift to 5th. We didn't even hit 110. you need to relax. But if you really want an old fashioned butt whooping that bad, we can arrange that http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif seriously though, learn to lighten up a little. I am not mad about it, just kinda annoyed, but thats cool, its how all races start...with a litle bit of **** talking...now common courtesy says since you began the talk you gotta race to the terms of the challenger, now all I am asking is for a litle traction...does John Force ask all his opponents not to spray when that is what a funny car is setup to use? My car is not very practical on the street, all I am asking is for traction just like you have...now if you will admit that with traction its not even worth the time to race for me, then yes I will race you on street tires from a roll......its not like I am asking for land or anything..

I am not ****talking, I am just saying the truth. I even said that I was happy with the outcome of the race. You are the one talking mess, and the one challenging, so if you want a race with me, you do it on my terms. sorry dude, but I am not the one challenging you. that means that I get to choose if I want to run you or not. hehe, this is so much fun

I know nothing bad is going on in here http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif ... Just that the thread is getting a wee bit long. That's why I recommended starting a fresh one. Just gotta abide by "rules" of keeping threads to a certain length. And have already let this one get a bit too long as it is http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif

wed. night should be HUGE. all students are back in town. Whenever I run into someone with an f-bod I invite them to Oreilly's, trying to get a nice large crowd out there. I'll be there to judge the Aaron-Rick race. I would race but I still haven't changed my plugs and wires http://web.camaross.com/bb/frown.gif

Well, my clutch took a dump last night after work and now everytime I start the car after a long break the clutch goes to the floor...I have babied this thing all day, stock clutch lasted me 56 thousand miles so I am happy...it also set a code last night..... http://web.camaross.com/bb/rolleyes.gif
the fun never ends I guess....
I'll be at car club, but again my chance at running her has been postponed http://web.camaross.com/bb/frown.gif

ps. Ed, I really don't wanna go through a clutch install, as soon as I can scrape the cash I might give you a holler if your work will let you do that at a good price.

Rick, always looking for a way out. http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif Are you scared? J/k I know that your car will smoke me. But maybe not by the time you get your new clutch in. We will have to see. I have some pretty big plans that might be happening pretty soon. http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif Hope that you can get your car back in good running shape soon.

First off, your SPEC clutch wont work in Ricks car, it's an LS1. Second, it may be the slave cylinder. Ask Raymond about that. He is having the same issue with his car. Check that before you order a new clutch.

hey rick, Robert may let you borrow his N2O kit if you really want to smoke this joker. He told me that I could borrow it if I wanted to. If not, you can probably whoop him anyway, but it would probably be more fun if you beat him be 10 lengths instead of 4-5. I can wait to see you big boys tear this guy a new one. I wish that I had some spray so that I could tear this guy a new one too. I might get some soon http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif
