are there different gas tanks out there for our cars? I ordered a Racetronix pump from Thunder Racing and went to install it today. It says on it direct factory replacement for stock Camaro z28 with steel tank. When I pulled my exhaust and pan down I found a plastic tank. When I pulled the pump out the sending unit was completely different as is the pump from the one I received and the instructions that come with the pump show a completely different sending unit????

Someone got a clue about this stuff??

Please help
Vinny

What do I have to do to Mod the pump to make it work?

I think I have gotten it setup except for the return line and the extra ground wire

Does the extra ground need to be connected? If so how?

Where should I attatch the return line?

Or should I just return it for the right one?

I have no idea, I believe you have to do some rigging to get the thing to even mount.

Id return it for the correct setup to save some hassel.

I cant seem to find anyone who offers a kit like that for the 99 and up. Even the Racetronix website only offers it for the 98. My mistake was that on Thunder Racing it says 98-99 and I believed it. I should have done more research into it before I bought it.

Do you think it is worth it to just replace it with a stock pump and return the kit?

Or do you know of someone with a kit like that for a 99?
