I am no expert... since I just put my frist coat of z2 on 20 minutes ago and gonna leave it on over night...

But they do apply very differently... They say Z5 is better deeper shine and Z2 is better protecting.

Do you use the Z6 stuff? I noticed a slight difference with that right after I put it on...

Use Z5 for dark colors, and Z2 for lighter colors. Either one will work on dark or light colors though.

Either one provide the same amount of paint protection, Z-5 has more fillers than the Z-2 but Z-2 has more gloss intensifiers...

Z5 to fill swirls.

It's still very shiny, but even Zaino's website instructions say you should use Z2 when you are satisfied that Z5 has taken care of the swirls because of the superior gloss, though you can switch back and forth at any time.

I just put my first coat of Z2 on last week and I can say that I see a little better shine from the Z2. Although the Z5 does provide a great shine as well. To me, the Z2 went on easier and came off easier also.

On darker colors Z-5 will give better depth of shine. :)

Yup, I have to agree with that, I use mostly Z-5 on my navy blue SS.

Sometimes I mix the 2 together, and it looks great!

What do you consider Red? I don't feel like it is a dark color, yet it is definately not a light color. It is more of a bright color.

Do you use Z-6 gloss enhancer over the Z-5? I thought I new the zaino system but reading threads sometimes confuses me.

Ya, I kind of feel the same way, to be honest... not saying anyone is wrong or anything, but it is a bit confusing.

Because everyone's perception is different. I have friends that to them they like the Z-2 better on their dark cars.

For the best depth, wetness and gloss use your Prep steps to achieve these visual goals. When the prep goals are forefilled the visual differences between Z2 and Z5 are minimal and are greatly influenced by personal perceptions. Some colors (dark) are very difficult to achieve these perfect visual clues, so Z5 helps to eliminate ( filling ) these minor optical imperfections at the same time achieving a gloss quite similiar to Z2.
