Looking for a tire in 275/35/18 to go on my 18 x 9.5 Polished Z06 rims.

I've narrowed it down to these two: Yokohama ES 100 or the Nitto 555 (not the drag radials the regular ones)

I like the Nitto having a slightly higher Treadwear. This will be a daily driver in dry/rain. I also would like good traction when launching.

Thoughts, comments??

Thanks

Hello,

I can't speak about the Yokahama's but I ran a 1.94 60" with my Nitto NT555's before I switched to the DR's. Now with the DR's I cut a 1.78 60' time. I think the Nitto street tires have a great looking tread pattern and worked really well on the street.

How was the thread wear on those NT 555's? Either of you guys compare them with other brands?

The 555R's last longer than the BFG's but they'll probably only last for the summer

How about the 555's not the 555R's.

Well i have the Yokohama ES100's and i love them. I no longer get sideways and you get them a little warm you get great traction. I had the sorry @$$ kumhos before and they were horrible anywhere. Yokohama ES100's have great grip, i am going to run with them on at the dragstrip. This is my friends name, i have a 02' Z, LT's, Loudmouth, Lid, Thermostat, 340 rwhp.
