I think that is the V6

Those tires are taller than the last mustang, 235/55/17

I think it's a GT because it has dual exhaust and GT wheels.

These are the V6 wheels

.....eventhough this car was represented to be a GT.

But then again....who knows.

If I remember right there were shots of a Mustang with a single exhaust pipe....so the one in this shot should be the GT....

Interior looks good! Love the trailer hitch

Take anything I say for whatever you want:

It is an Auto. I know GT/5 speed's exist. I drove one.

You CANNOT tell if it is a V6 or a V8 by wheels alone. I beleive that is a GT, but there is no way to know for sure unless you have seen under the hood.

agreed. If I wanted something retro i'd go and buy an accual car from the 60's. Heritage cues are great, all out retro I just don't like.

The wheels look like the rims on the current GT (originally from the Bullitt special edition. I'm surprised that the tires fitted are one size narrower, but two sizes higher than the GT's current rubber. Judging by the empty space in the wheel well, there's plenty of room for a bigger rolling diameter. However, look at the last shot of the car, the wheel wells are pretty well filled out in width. Maybe higher end models are going to fender flares?

The interior shot is the shocker. The Ford GT-style wheel, huge gauges and t-bar shifter all look right. This Mustang will be downright classy inside, unlike the current item. If retro means an end to ghastly, plasticy and cheap Mustang interiors, so be it.

BYTW, the last thing I read was that the Mustang would have 215hp in base, and 280hp in GT models. I hope the new pony is a bit livlier than that!

All the pictures that I've seen so far haven't done anything for me. Hopefully I'll like the new Stang better when I see one in person.

I can't wait to see the final release. I have only owned one mustang it was a 02' GT 5 speed. It was pretty nice until it broke at 25k miles. It will be interesting to see the final product though.

I saw two of these a couple of weeks ago. There was a 4 door sedan infront of them with the same type of camo and right behind it were 2 Mustangs the same as these pics. Except there was one that did show the 2 mufflers coming out in the back and the other only had one (I guess that was the V-6). Then this morning a saw the 2 Mustangs again. This was in the Pasadena area, going North on Rosemead Blvd. I had to turn on Colorado, but they kept going north. For those of you that are familiar with Pasadena, CA. Both times I've seen them was between 6 - 6:30AM.

I believe the 05 Mustang will be a big success for Ford, as long as it gets a good launch. The current Focus would have been a major success for them as well but it has had a lot of quality problems. The good news is, their new F150 is doing very well and if that is any indication, they have learned some lessons about quality.

The Mustang will lose some sales to women buyers IMHO due to its more macho newer styling, but will garner more men for the same reason. This was a factor with the TBird and I think one reason why it stuttered in the marketplace was its Barney-face soft round styling and weak engine.
