I got the Qwik Stick. It is awesome. No more 2-3 missed shifts. I highly recommend it.

Austin Performance Inc, the maker of the Austin Ram Air/SSRA makes the Qwik Stick. It retails for about $39. It is made of hardened steel that is chrome moly coated. The bolts are grade 8 allen head.
One of the sponsors for CamaroZ28.com Speed Specialty sell them for me. Here is a link from their website.

I believe Speed Specialty has free shipping on all the products they sell until the end of the month.

I bought the 03 cobra stick that goes on the pro 5.0 along with the 03 cobra ****. Talk about short! and a much better looking alternative for shift **** also.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. I decided to go with Jarrod's for the price.

I found this on LS1.com when I was trying to decide which one to buy myself: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthrea...threadid=348398 . Has some good pictures to compare the two against the stock Hurst. Also take a look at their "Parts Review" section. A lot of good info on Jarrod's and Lou's can be found there.

Re: Jarods or Lous short stick( i need quick response so i can get this b4 christmas)

Why is Lou's short stick angled? Does Jarod's straight one not sit centered?

I have an 2000 SS with a short throw, factory hurst shifter. (H on th nobb) Does anyone with the exact same set up have Jarod's stick? Reactions?

Thanks!

(please note i accidently asked the same question in the LT1 forum)

I have the Qwik Stick. I bought it because it's straight. I didn't want the bend in it.

i have that exact setup with a Lous stick. my 1-2nd gear thows are about 3" long...stock stick is something like 4.5" and the crappy crappy stock shifter (z28) was something like 6"

the lou's is bent so that the stick doesn't hit the console on 93-96year consoles (i think straight works fine for 97+ updated console).

either one is badass

So a straight stick would sit centered without the use of a spacer?
