looks damn good, cool idea. but what about the vin? how would i register a vehicle that i built in my garage?

same way as if u built a kit car, u would have to get it inspected then reg.

The only catch is if you build it from scratch its considered a 2003 car... which means it might have to meet newer regs in some states.

Its a great way to go for a race car that will never see the street.

im a bit confused, most kit cars are built on older chasis, like third gens and fieros. i didnt know you could build a car from scratch.

but if u had the budget it would be so cool, to take a few yrs and build a total custom/trick 1st gen

All you do is bolt on all of your accessories. This body panel is for rust
repair and meant to replace your rusted out panel.

so i dont know i fyou can build a complete car from it, but from their add on e bay, thats what they were leaning to from my point of view.

The only problem there is it is illegal to remove or replace a VIN tag. Therefore how are you going to be able to legally register the car?

I think they are just wanting you to buy a rusted Camaro of say 1969 model year... Then replace all the rusted panel with their panels. Thus the car is still a 1969 Camaro, just it has new panels rather than the old rusty ones.

right.. its just a body .. u would need a donor car and as for the vin number just cut it out an inch or so around it and metal finnish it in ..

Technically it wouldn't be illegal if you had a rusted out Camaro and the only good piece in it was the doorjamb area with the VIN tag... and you were just replacing the rusted metal.... :)
