The time has come to purcahse a clutch for my 69 camaro project car.

The engine is a mild 302, double hump heads, headers, aluminum intake, small stuff like that.

Trans is a 67 muncie m21. I need a clutch thats gonna live at high rpms and not wear out quickly, or not be able to take the abuse. I looked at the Street Twin, as well as centerforce. I don't want to spend a ton of $$$ if its not needed, what companies should i be looking at , and what would be the best for this combo.

Thx.

When I had a 350 with ~400hp and a M20, I used a CenterForce II and it worked great. Now with my 434, aluminum flywheel and TKO, I'm using a CenterForce DF. Works great, and I've even started in 2nd gear a few times (trying to roll out soft to keep it from spinning) and it's still happy. I hear a lot of the 3rd and 4th Gen F-Body guys hate CF, but so far so good with mine.

Its been a while since I had a manual car but I've never heard anything negative about CenterForce, so I'll defer to XcYZ et al on this one.

I run a centerforce clutch behind my 302 in my 69Z, and it's flawless.

centerforce dual friction was what I was planning on, thx for the positive replies. Seemed like a good idea, and much cheaper than the street twin.

Thx again, hopefully by the spring i can take it around the block :)
