Rears are easy. Fronts are a major pain. I seriously hope your 96 isn't a nightmare like mine were...front mounts were toast.

I went with Bilsteins (found them cheap online). If you don't have the $$$ for them, some take-offs will last you another 30-50k.

fronts are horrible....my mounts were bad so i had to replace those...i think they were like 110 each...and then the STRUTS in front were another 150 or so all together....rears should be fairly easy though....try to spray some penetrating oil on all the bolts for a few days before you do the job...helps big time when you go to do it

so the V8 take-offs from slp will fit on our cars? i found these (http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?PARTNUMBER=96309&SHOWIMAGE=On&SHOWEMAIL=Off) on their website and was wondering if that was the right thing to get...thanks again.

Those are the ones. Don't expect significantly better performance...more just a suitable replacement. Unless of course, if your current shocks are BAD then it will be better performance. :)

My take-offs are in the box sitting in my garage collecting dust, still in the SLP box.
