Hey everybody I got a awesome write up from Camride on how to launch a A4 with stock stall. I was wondering if anybody have any tips and suggestions on what psi I should be running at the track and how much of a burn out do I have to do on the nittos? The nittos I have are on 16 x 8 stock trans am wheels. Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks.

Start with 20 psi at the track and drop if needed. Do about a 4 sec burnout after you see smoke from the Nittos. :thumb:

I run my nittos 12-15psi 400 miles a week. I've had to air them up for the track :D.

My Nittos are about to be put up for sale! My car won't hook to save it's life... or mine for that matter... resulting in 15+ second times! I run them at 16psi and do a short burn out before the run. Am I not heating these up right or what?

17psi on 245-16s launching off-idle going to 1/2 throttle for about 10ft then to WOT = 1.77 60ft with no spin. Burnout is 5-sec after smoke and roll out of it. It will launch much harder...I still need to make some adjustments.

cam, headers, 3200 stall, and 3.73s

The Nittos are great tires. I drag race them and road race them and love them. If u have stock DS or rear end dont heat the Nittos more than 4 sec or this will happen http://www.msnusers.com/CarsRelatedGroup/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=15
This happend after i heated the Nittos for 7 sec or so and launched at 5500RPM. The nittos didnt even spin  and u see what happend to the Drive Shaft.

If u dont heat the nittos good they wont hook up. Heat them up at least 4 sec and u will be happy with 1.9 60fts. Now if u want to go lower than 1.9 heat them up more.

You guys DO avoid the water pit don't you with these tires? I always do. My burnouts must not be long enough. After avoiding the water pit... I give them a 2-3 second spin... no smoke that I can see anyway.
Then I sit on the brake and bring the RPM up to 1500 or so then hit it hard on the last yellow light... SPIN CITY!!!
I've tried feathering it out... a little spin and nearly a hard enough launch. That is a hard thing to do!
I bought these tires because I got a lot of good feedback from people on here. I can only guess that I am not using them correctly... or the track I run at just plain sucks! My car will run mid-13's if driven correctly.

If u want to cut less than 2.0 60ft u have to go in the water and do a real burn out. I know what u are talking about and when i usually do the same i get 2.0 60fts out of the nittos with tire spin. Try it next time and u will be happy, but watch out for that stock DS and rear end though.

Thanks for the tip. I have never tried going through the water because I've always been afraid of not "drying" the tires off. I don't have a line lock so a long burnout would be tough to do.

I'm not too worried about the drive shaft because I'm not making a tremendous amount of power and the rear end has a girdle on it for whatever that's worth.

Someone else said they sit at the light at idle... I should probably try that too.

U dont need a Line lock to make a long burn out. I dont have one and i use the breaks told hold the car while im burning the tires.

I haven't had my car to the strip yet, so I don't know what I'd do, but I do know that on the street all my DR's take is just a quick little spin to clean off the tires, and off I go with no spin.

I have skinnies mounted on the front so I drive through the waterbox and do a nice long burnout on the Nitto's.. 1.7's all night, no problem.

If you have regular size tires up in the front, make sure to back into the waterbox so you don't drag water up to the line with the wide tires on.

I have had best results at the track with 15psi in my Nittos. I go around the waterbox and then back into it to keep the water off the front tires (so it won't leave a wet spot on the line). Burnout for around 4-5 seconds after smoke.

Pulled a 1.69 60' with them, very good tire.
