which tranny?

this is for a friend of mine,he has a 78 TA,with a 400CID.he wants to go with an overdrive tranny,he says 200r4, I say go with 700r4 are there any pros AN cons to either one.Thanks

On second thought, have your buddy call Steve. Steve has a wealth of information and eager to share. Be sure tell your friend to ask anything about trannies, torque-coverters, and TV sysrems.

i'd recomend the 2004R if it's a poncho engine in it. no bellhousing adapter that way.
