Just got done making the driver side exhaust manifold and ran out of pipes. New pipes coming tuesday so the passenger side will be done then. It's a tight fit but it'll work:)

Where did you get the materials to make your headers?

the headers were made from regular mandrel bent aluminized 1.75" piping. I got these from summit racing for like $12 each. Took me 5 to do that driver side.

Well, definately cheaper than buying a set of headers, but alot more work. Just to make sure I looked up the right pipe, is this it?
HED-12012 90 Degree Mandrel Bend, 1 3/4" O.D. 3" Radius, 3 1/2" & 16" legs, Each $14.39
Also, what did you use to make the header flanges to bolt them to the heads?

... that's the RX-7 that I have always wanted! lol
I'm guessing you don't get too many kind words from the RX comunity... they usually hate domestic engines transplants.
Good luck!

 Ohh, I remember all the great threads on the RX7 boards about Jim's car/motor. You would've thought he bad mouthed Dr. Wankel himself.
If you don't mind asking, what are you doing about transmission/rear end? The LS1 idea is a great one and I'll guarantee that you'll see a lot more of them in '04. I never even dreamed of putting a turbo on a LS1RX7 though. I was always thinking a nice "little" dry shot under the manifold would suffice. :D
