A little help

Guys,

I need your input on which super charger would be my best choice. I have 2001 z28 that I drive daily, and wish to continue to be able to. The only other mods are: K&N filter, cat back exhaust, mass air sensor, skip shift eliminator, and 5.0 pro shifter. I need it to be California smog legal. Can you give a newbie some pearls of wisdom?

with the ls1 it is a high compression engine ok with a little boost any more reliability comes into question the powerdyne,p1sc,vortech are all nice superchargers the powerdyne is not bad on a basically stock car very few options for the future not bad for a once a done deal if want to think towards the future the procharger or vortech are both upgradable to bigger head units but you will have to do something with the engine(lower compression,forged internals,biggerheads)the powerdyne you do not have to intercool the procharger will come with intercoolers the vortech will also come with an after cooler all of them are nice powerader you will not be disapointed and all of them are 50 state legal

What are your power goals?

If all you want is 450 rwhp, a good cam/heads would be simpler and more reliable.
