Been a while since I posted here...but I will have some plans for next season. I plan on a 12 bolt/h-c for00 WS6 and maybe a juice kit for my SS.

LS6 intake, 8psi, retune, cage...run 10's. :)

Can't go wrong with turbo's...costly...but strong.

I am going with AFR LT4 220 heads, big solid roller, more compression, more stall, less weight....should run mid 10's if all works out on mota.

Then I spray a 150 shot.

I wonder if Dragway 42 will look at my car and tech it?

I can't decide between a new cam and maybe heads or nitrous........and eventually a 12 bolt :( But my main goal is to get my damn knee back to normal!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to do very much this winter. The most expensive thing might be 15x4 and 15x10 centerline Telstars and BGF drag radials. And drag shocks for the rear.

There are 3 things i need to fix with my car though

1 - change my valve springs from CC987s to CC985

2 - Get a new y-pipe, the one on it now is only 1.75" at its narrowest point.

3 - Port my intake for the 58mm TB and the larger intake runners in my heads.

With the horrible restrictions gone in my exhaust and intake, the right valve springs and my PCM retuned, I hope to break into the 11s even with a 1.9x 60ft. I'm guessing I'll need about 420rwhp.

with as big of a cam as you have in there, exhaust flow is critical. open that up and youre golden.

canton, i dont think 10's should be a problem at all with that combo, that sounds pretty badass, esp. spraying it.

with the way NHRA just raised the bar for t-top equipped cars, i wonder if IHRA certified tracks (like 42) will look to do the same. i know its all part of playing, but im not ready to hack up my interior and put in a 10-point. as im sure many other mainly street driven cars are not as well, just seems a hair excessive to me.

I am sure they start looking at MPH also.

I just noticed you finally hit 11s, big time:bow: Congratulations!
Was it the VHT traction compound or were just lucky enough to get it to hook up on its own?

With the mph you're running, you'll need a parachute by the time you get into the low 11s:D

New tranny. Looking at a Combination Motorsports Level 3 tranny since mine busted, 3500 stall, and 3.73 gears. Then maybe a 58mm TB and some 30# injectors. I would like to get it dyno tuned too but I'll wait til BigShot gets their equipment.

NEO should have some pretty fast F-bodies next year. I hope to touch into the 11s with mine. It should be at least good for low 12s considering all my times thus far were on a slipping tranny and street tires.

thanks grease!

it was my last run the last time we were there...you had just left and i made one last pass. im sure the vht helped, but i did a pro-stock like burnout as well :D i knew it was a good run because the car finally stayed straight off of the line.

It will be a loooong time before bigshot gets LT1 and LS1 edit. especially LS1 edit becasue they need to have a different version for each year of LS1s. The only thing they have now is Ford, and it takes a while to figure out the software and the car.

If you are really interested in dyno tuning, I've been corresponding with Kennedy's Dyno Tune (http://www.kennedysdynotune.com) in Newyork. They have it all for LT1s, LS1s and even Accel DFIs and FAST pcms. I'll be making a road trip out there next spring.

it looks nice, but the 2 mustang dyno's in detroit is what ill stick to. not to mention they really are better to tune on. but if bigshot was going to have it, i was going to skip that trip and give it a whirl.

Cory, come up to Cleveland and we'll show you a real winter. The snow belt can pump out some nasty stuff.

I plow in the snow belt, it sucks. You should see all the people running into ditches, trees, fire hydrants, etc. They can't drive!!!!!
I hope spring gets here quick!!!!

i went to speedworks last year for my tune and they were very cool guys and did a nice job on my car. they did just merge with livernois motorsports however and from what the website says, speedworks will be moving into livernois space. when im not sure though.

The college kid budget is still killin me :)

Not much, should come out in the spring with a 2" tbi, bilstein shocks, 2 more 10 spoke ss rims to make a set (hillbilly driving with only 2 in the rear and stockers in the front haha!), Nittos, maybe a tq arm and lots of home-brew tuning.

The guy down here that runs 9s on a stock bottom end with the INCON kit (02 CE TA) recommends speedworks for tuning, also.

Speedworks it is then. I didn't realize that Detroit was only about 4 hours away. I used to think it was on the other side of Chicago. I'm definately driving up there around March/April next year.

We've already moved! The Speedworks phone number now automatically forwards over here to Livernois, just ask for me when you call. I'm literally in the middle of getting the Mustang Dyno moved in here, but everything should be up and running well before spring. I hope to see more of you guys be able to make it up here. I'm sure it will be well worth the trip.
