4th gen rear end in a 1st gen?RPM racing 11-18-2003, 01:37 AM i have a 67 camaro and want to know if i can mod a 4th gen rear end to fit into my 1st gen? any info that will help would be great! thanks! kacy 11-18-2003, 02:29 AM isnt worth it youd have to buy one convert to leaf spring mounts or conver the car to 3 link like the rear end and the 7.5 10 bolt is weak but what you can do is bolt the 4th gen brakes on a old school 10 or 12 bolt rear end click here and go to brakes (http://pub186.ezboard.com/bprotouringgmachines) Quick69 11-18-2003, 05:44 PM 4th gen rear is way too weak like kacy said, why are you wanting to change rears? tom2 11-19-2003, 01:26 PM Tough job. About six inches wider, disc brakes with metric fittings. Completely different emergency brake setup, coil springs, axle tubes are smaller so swapping spring perches would be a chore. | ||
