I still say it looks too much like a BMX, or Lincoln LS. Not that they look bad, but it doesnt scream pony car at me.

What is a BMX?

Lincon LS, Are you looking at the same pic as the rest of us? it looks 100% nothing like that.

It looks just like an old school Stang. Too retro for me. Can't wait to see the Cobra, it is said to have a different front end.

I ment BMW. Just the shape of it. I think it looks like an LS fog lights, and some styling tricks. LIke the scoupes in the side. Just my opinion.

hey it's retro alright!a retro mustang II!!it looks like a cartoon version of a mustang, like the viper is a cartoonish version of the cobra and the new mini is a cartoon version of the classic mini.oh well,i'll hate it until i start seeing them and then i'll probaby buy one.i'm so weak.i hated the current mustang when they first came out and you see what i drive.i hate the next vette too,so look for me to buy a used one in few years.

I think it looks pretty sharp. I'm not a big fan of retro designs, but this new mustang isnt bad at all. I can already imagine all of the special edition cars theyll make to help boost sales and hype. Boss, Mach 1, Shelby etc.

The current car looks better and that looks terrible IMO.

maybe you guys could get off the retro bashing bandwagon? we aren't looking at the same picture maybe? its seems like the bashers here are just bashing on the bases of retro styling.

its a sharp looking design, dispite the grainy picture. it looks like a success and i think it will do really well for Ford.

Thumbs up

Beautiful, i can already imagine those 320 HP(GT) machine's running around town. I think we should all take this as a step forward for american cars. Chances are your next camaro might have alittle retro in it aswell. I can imagine a new 2007 cobra, a 2007 SS Camaro, and a weak little 96 supra at a stop light. Its going to be an interesting near future for us in the american car game.

We need to stop bashing on each other and try take those damn imports back to where they belong. (japan er whatever foreing country they came from)hmm would the GTO be an import since it is technically imported here?

No, chances are it won't, especially when Lutz's is so set against retro style. As far as being on a retro bandwagon, I think not. I was there long before there was a bandwagon. It doesn't even look that aggressive.

Pretty much what I expected... we've pretty much seen the whole thing now anyway...

I like the "cartoon of an old Mustang" comment... kind of true, IMO.

It's pretty funny hearing people bash the "retro" Mustang, yet want a Camaro that resembles a 1969.

Just the same, the new Mustang is still on my list right behind GTO and El Camino. Haven't seen the new Camaro, but would like to before I actually make the purchase in a year or 2.

I'm not a huge fan of retro. But I do like this car. They modeled it after some of the best Mustangs in history. I like the idea of old style with new technology. However IMO the design does get old after a while. Overall this car should do very well.

Man I'm excited right now. C6, new Stang, Confirmation on the 5th Gen, the GTO, Solstice, SRT-4, SRT-10, new lighting coming, Ford GT, the list goes on, such a great time right now!
