"Low Engine Power" light wtf?fiz 11-12-2003, 04:09 PM I turned on my bird today and the low engine power light was on.. and my car was trippen out it sounded like it was choking and it was putting really bad. I turned it off and on a few times and it kept doing it, then I revved it to 3,000rpms for like 5 seconds, turned it off and on again and it was normal again. The light comes on when your engine senses some sort of problems, is what i gathered from the manual im reading. It says it will limit acceleration speed and needs to be taken to the dealer for repair. Im sure you can try to figure it out yourself but if it is still under warrenty i would just let them scan it and find the code. walter1234 11-13-2003, 10:29 AM I also read in ther service manual, if the car is low on gas it will go into the low power mode. There's a TSB out for it, and they'll top it off for free. My dealer told me that there's no such thing, but don't just walk away and keep insisting that they fill your blinker fluid for free.
