What kind of paint or materials for repairing plastic bumpers?

HI, i was wondering if you could use regular automotive paint on plastic bumpers and nose clips, or if you need a special kind of paint for it. Also, how would you repair any holes or cracks in them?

Hello 3M has come out with a product that works well for the urathane bumpers i am not sure of the part number but any parts store that sells their products will know the item i am talking about. good luck see ya rex
