My car car idles at 700-800 and it is running fine. My 93 used to idle at about 1100-1300 and that was cause it had a couple of problems. Did you add or remove anything before you experienced this? Jaswir 11-09-2003, 02:42 PM some time it stubals when i slow down at a light... umm it broke down about 3 weeks ago the ignition modulator went out, nothing major but it seem after i put the new one in lower rpms and take offs from a stop. plus when i first start it and in Netural it idels at 1100 to 1300 but i think it use to idle at 1,000 to 1,100 all the time kevin 2.8 11-10-2003, 04:09 PM my 2.8 with 100,000 kilometers, (70,000 miles) idles at 600-700 rpm after its warmed up if its cold it starts at 1,100 then drops. it runs fine. it shouldnt stumble at this rpm range, you may want to do a tuneup camaro6 11-11-2003, 12:59 AM On my 92' I had a long time ago, it idled around 700 - 800. I think thats pretty much normal for most cars. However my 94' is having some problems with its idle :( oil pan 4 11-12-2003, 03:14 AM Chilton's manual says '' 1988, 2.8L, ignition timeing 10* before TDC, 700rpm idel for auto and std. trans." Thats for when it's all the way warmed up. So your idel is high. deadmeat2004 11-13-2003, 10:07 AM mine is idliing around 1000 1100, someone above said thiers did that but it had a few problems, what were they and how do u fix them? mako350Z28 11-13-2003, 01:03 PM I had a 91 RS 3.1 several years ago, but if I remember correctly it idled at 700-800 RPM.
