I just got my car back from being painted Wednesday. Before I picked it up, he waxed it with Meguires #7 before he gave it to me (there are swirl marks already  ). Anyway, he didn't give me any specific directions concerning washing, so you think I could hand wash it Saturday? He must have felt confident in it to hand wax it, so I'm assuming I can hand wash it.

Thanks for your help,
Natalie

You should be OK to wash, especially if he waxed it... however, it's best to play it safe, and give the paint guy a call.

Meguiars #7 is not a wax, it is a glaze made to fill scratches and swirls....

#7 is a polish, not a wax or a swirl remover, #9 is the swirl remover, and #26 is the wax. i would call the paint guy before you was it though;)

what about Z6? Do you think that will interfere with the curing?

You can use any Zaino product on the paint right now.

When I got my car painted, I could wash it all I wanted. But the Body shop said no wax for 3 months.

Zaino is not a wax, it contains zero wax....

urethan paints take around 2 days to dry, but the enamels, i think can take up to 60 days to fully cure, as in don't wax it untill 60 days after the paint is applied.

Normal, most painters will use a glaze to hide paint/sanding/buffing mistakes and shove the car out the door to the consumer and say "here" lol

Every where i go on this board everyone is talking about swirl marks, go get a buffer, buy a wool pad, a foam pad, 3M Perfect III Compund and 3M Swirl Mark Remover. That is all you need, use the wool pad and the compound and then the foam with the Swirl Mark remover, it will be smooth as glass and shine like hell. swirl marks are not that big of a problem, hell take it to a body shop if you don't want to do it yourself and ask then to buff and polish the car to remove the swirls.... We cut and buff some cars a day after it is out of the booth, hell if the car is painted in the morning we will buff a blend in the afternoon and we don't have a bake booth. And i use the process stated above.
