fuel pump

I Ask this in the LS1 tech section but didn't get any answers

I was thinking about getting a NX kit but I wanted to ask if it's normal for a fuel pump to whine I all the time I know its supposed to make noise for awhile after you turn on the car but mine whines 24/7 it's not very loud but u can still hear it in the background

and i heard that a bad fuel pimp and nitrous isn't to healthy

Let me forewarn ya and keep a eye on that pump NX provides in there. When I ran NX kits I had a few of there pumps die and all becaus ethey where defective from there supplier. NX replaced them free of charge but what if I wouldn't have caught the problem in time.

Those pumps also are not heat friendly! If the pump is near any source that radiates heat to some high degree it for fact kill the pump.

no it isnt that normal to hear a stock pump whine all the time. get a 255 in tank and be done with it.

I agree with RacinLT1. Its always a good idea to go with a good high volume pump when using any nitrous system. The best pump for the money that I have seen is the Walbro 340. They are alittle more than $100 and have been proven many times over. I have seen a number of cars running in the 10's with a single Walbro 340 although that is pushing it a little.

so its not normal? its not running lean but i guess the whine could be an early warning sign

how much do u think a in tank install would run me i trust my self doing little stuff but not somthing like that
