My understanding is the new C6 base engine will be just over 6 liters. I've seen a new C6 piston at 104mm bore, which would make 6.3 liters if they kept the same stroke. I've also heard the new Z06 will be very close to 500 HP. We'll see I guess.

BTW, GM won't be the only one with DOD next year. Chrysler's going to hit back hard with the Hemi next year.

I sure hope its not the same GM engineers who developed the V864 Cadillac POS years ago.

The standard C6 in '05 will have a 6.0 L with 400 hp.

The Z06 will take one year off, and come back in '06
with a LS7. They are currently shooting for 500 hp.
I've heard of displacements from 6.4L to 7.0L.

The new DOD will not be in the Vette (had vibration
issues in V4 mode at idle). The new system is entirely
different from the old Caddy system. It uses engine oil
pressure to deactivate the valve lifters.
