Here you go guys. Most of the appearance/suspension stuff, and the swap, came with th ecar when i bought it off my friend. I pretty much just threw on the turbo kit, clutch, and LSD.

So don't go bitching about how much money i spent to get to the 11's ;)

Cool by me. Anything that can go 11s looking as "snoozy" as that is cool with me. No offense, but you'd never think it goes better than maybe 13s just having a quick look at it. Just took me a while to get through that Blitzkrieg of a post.

Performance is impressive, but to be honest the rest of it is totally not my taste. It's looks totally like an economy car and the interior/exterior is in poor condition. Maybe that's the look you're going for since it's kind of a sleeper.

I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but do you feel cool driving that around? I mean, it doesn't look like any kind of performance machine I've ever seen.

You would smoke me though if you are running 11's

otherwise its my lowkey daily driver that i take to school, drive my girl around in, and go to the movies with

i get 27 mpg when i beat on it, insurance is cheap, and it runs 11's, so i can't really ask for much else

i dont use cars to get bitches, and i really dont need attention from cops OR ricers so it fits my taste perfect

Pretty quick daily driver. I can tell you put a lot of work into it.

You really didn't have to say this! Car enthusiasts come in all shapes and sizes and AGES ! If I knew better when I was in H.S. , I probably would have had one of these turbo cars and beatin all the other HS raceheads! Some of the younger peepes don't have alot of cash to build up a fast car. With the right research and connections, these "sleepers" can be built for under 10 grand! And the main key here for the average JOE is the d@mn insurance. I remember that insurance for me at 16 for a 5.0 stang was 5k/year! These is not possible when you make minimium wage or close to it!

i post here cuz i know a couple peeps who post in the northeastern forum

my air filter is crushed because i tried to fit it on the compressor inlet on the turbo behind my old radiator fan and there was like 2 inches of clearance, so we stepped on it and tried tojam it down there...it didnt work obviously, and i had to buy a slim fan...then the fan blew hot air at the filter, so i bought that ghetto tubing from napa and that's how it looks now

yes this car was on sale on HT a whileback, no one was interested enough, so i just said **** it and kept it

Wow... wow is all I can say. First off, STOP BEING A BENCH RACER. You need to learn a thing or a dozen about performance, hell about cars in general.

One, you are comparing TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT cars, each with two distinctive engines and setups. Not all 4-cylinders are the same, just like not all V8s are the same. So what amount of boost one engine runs has absolutely nothing to do with what another does.

Two, there is this magic thing called Power To Weight Ratio. Short Round's Civic is "only" making 300whp, but it also only weighs in the low 2000lbs. The Mekur weighs more than that. It's also the same simple concept why an LS1 that makes 300rwhp only runs the 1/4 in the 13 second range.

Bottom line, he has all the mods and the total setup to run the exact power and times with his Civic. A Civic's method of running fast times is average power levels in extremely light vehicles. It's been done countless times before and will continue to be that way. My advice to you would be to pull your head out of your ass and learn an f'in thing about something you have absolutely NO clue about, before spouting BS. I mean for christ sakes you didn't even realize they were two totally different kinds of cars. :rolleyes:

It was an old joke nickname between friends back in highschool. When I joined DSMTalk it was the first screen-name that popped in my head, that stood out and wasn't named after my car (too cliche'). Keep me up to date on the Regal, I'm interested to see the final outcome. The GN I mentioned that runs at my track is my favorite car to come check out, because it run in the OPS class primarily against a lot of big-block old muscle cars; it's great to hear the announcer always point out that it's "only" running a V6 against the massive 500+cu engines. Hearing the turbo spool on that thing is one of the baddest sounds out there. :cool:

he even came to my work lookin for me years ago.....he found my car but not me:D . we never got to run cause it looked like any old gt to me and i piad no attention to it and we went seperate ways...even though he said i was dodging him:D ...he would have whooped me bad anyway...ill meet him on 37 one night after i get outta this crappy army and have something actually worthy to take out there..
