Well I am pretty sure mine is broken by searching for it and reading other people's same problem. But the only problem is that in all the posts, the question never got answered. Where is the clutch pedal return spring? How hard/expensive is it to fix?

Ummm...the clutch assembly is hydraulic. If your clutch is not returning, there's most likely a problem with your slave cylinder. The 98-00 f-bodies had a crap slave cylinder. There was a new design for the 01-02's that they suggest we upgrade to. I put the new one in and it's running great now. I saw the old pos and I don't know how the hell it was still working. :irk:

There is a spring under the dash that helps to pull the pedal up. It's got nothing to do with the hydraulics. A friend has broken his twice.

so AL, you think its just the spring not the slave cylinder? It popped out of third a couple of times and the whole set up feels notchy. I was begining to think it was the slave, but I will take a look at the spring if someone just told me how to get to it.

That's odd because when I bled my slave cylinder and relieved the hydraulic pressure in the lines, the pedal didn't return off the floor unless I lifted it up myself. Once the bleeder valve was closed and pressure was restored, the pedal was returning on its own.

I broke a total of 5 springs when I had the stock clutch. The 5th time I broke it I did not fix it.As long as the pedal is coming back I dont think you have anything to worry about.I raced without the spring also.

2 questions, where can you get a spring like that one? Hardware store or something? What size is it? And also, can you get to it by just taking the dash below the steering column off? If not, where is it?

I guess thats more than two but....thanks in advance.
