Best looking reciever installation kitzuluman13 10-30-2003, 08:59 PM Whats the best looking and fitting reciever installlation kit. ChameleonGreen 11-01-2003, 07:02 AM Well, as far as I know, there are only two. The best ones come from Metra. There is the standard one that makes the HU stick out about 1/4 inch from where the stock faceplate is. Then, there is the flush mount one that keeps it recessed like the stock HU. I prefer the flush mount, but it is a VERY tight fit with the recessed flush mount kit because aftermarket stereos are longer than stock. If you want the standard just go to your local shop and ask for a Firebird\Camaro kit. If you want the flush mount, then you'll probably have to do a search for the number. Be careful, the Camaro one is slightly different than the Firebird one, so i've heard, but I know one of them is Metra 99-3009. zuluman13 11-04-2003, 10:34 PM ive also heard of a gm multi kit which one looks better does anyone have any pics.
