Went to a Ford race and beat'em with a chevy!rje 10-30-2003, 06:06 PM This past weekend Holcomb Motorsports put on a their annual Fast Fords in the Fall race at Rockingham dragway. Well I ran in the footbrake class, being that is one of only two classes that other brands beside Fords can race in, and won the damn thing. I don't know which was more satisfying, the cash, $500, the trophy, $25, or the look on all those Ford guys faces, priceless. Reminds me of the time my brother showed up at a Mustang vs. F-body even down at MIR a few years ago and proceeded to mop up a lot of both makes in his FIERO. Went to the final round in brackets before losing (no, not to me- I got clobbered in the 2nd round when I missed 3rd). And not becuase he was running 16.0s or something like that.
