how much can a stock 4L60e handle?

Well I would say not to shot the spray on a STOCK 4l60E, instead get a Window Switch. Or a Mallory Hyfire ignition unit to setup the window.

If you have concerns or questions about a window switch, its a Starting point for when the nitrous is in engaged. (ex. Nitrous kicks on at 3200 and stops at 5700; the car would shift at your shift point say 5900 and shift down to say 3000. When the RPM raises to 3200 again it repeats the cycle, till you turn the nitrous flow off.

This way your not spraying through the SHIFTS, saving your tranny

and I think I will get one but what about the aount of hp not while shifting ? I was planning on a 100-150 shot would that be o.k on a stock tranny?

IF it was me I would get a Window switch if I was spraying a 35 shot. There only like $50 bucks from MSD or you can pick up the Mallory unit for $220 and it comes with built in rev limiter, timing retard, window Switch, just a bunch of Good stuff for in one package. IF you go the MSD route you will need about 3 different boxs and it will cost around $300 total.

I would NOT SHOT A 125-150 shot ON THE STOCK TRANNY

Friend of mine has a 150shot with window switch. Has gone through 8bottles already.. All this on a stock 4l60e with trans go shift kit..

well the heat the trans will see will kill it before ANY amount of nitrous.

do NOT spray through shifts on a stocker. i ran a 150 shot and sprayed through shifts on a stocker and it lasted about 5 months of constant racing before it let go.

i had the trans BUILT and sprayed through shifts for 1.5 years and havent had a single issue with it since the build. the car is NOT my daily driver so i can afford to smoke a trans or 2.

It can handle a 150hp shot just fine. If you don't spray through the shifts. But obviously it won't last forever. So start saving for a nice rebuild.

Like eveybody said dont spray through your shifts and you should be fine..
