Is it possible to put a LS1 PCM and harness on an LT1?Highlander 10-28-2003, 12:55 AM Anyone ever done such a thing?? adapting the EFI of the ls1 01 into a lt1? or too many different sensors and stuff??? LMK Thanks turbo_Z 10-28-2003, 01:00 AM i dont understand what you would accomplish doing it. i mean all the sensors are probably the same with the exception of the cam and crank sensors.. maybe a couple other things. basically youd spend a lot of time and money but gain nothing. DOOM Master 10-28-2003, 01:04 AM I've never heard of it done and the difficultly would probably be immense if not totally impossible. Just curious, but why would you want to do this? madwolf 10-28-2003, 01:28 AM Impossible (within sanity) is the right word. :) Kyle@CSS 10-28-2003, 07:47 AM I think it can be done. If you swap in a LS1 with it. Highlander 10-28-2003, 01:58 PM Well... I thought it would be a lot easier than to do all the conversions to get rid of the optical unit also... 8 coils and it would solve many transmission problems... I've seen conversion of cam sensors for hte LT1 around the forum... If you can swap in a complete LS1 into a LT1 body it means that you do not have to TOTALLY replace the harness, just the engine harness... Adapt a cam sensor and off you go with 8 coils and no opti!!!! Maybe there are some problems with the BCM or something.. You would change the return line or adapt it to eliminate the pressure regulator and it could be possible.. I think... Anyhow... How is the pressure controlled in the ls1s? does it vary the voltage to the fuel pump or something??? | ||
