2 12's or 3 10's

like it says, the subs are all MTX 6000 series subs, and the 3 10's are $50 more... but what would you go for, 3 10's or 2 12's

i had 2 12s and now i have 1 10 and i like the 10 more the bass is thicker punchier and clearer.....so 3 10s would prolly be better to

where are you getting the mtx's from? personally, I'm not impressed by mtx subs. you can do better for the price! are you looking for sq or spl?

forgot to ask, what's your price range for the setup?

I don't believe they make one that actually does 1000WRMS....lol Also, I wasn't reffering to the quality of the box, although that is a major part of it, I was talking ported vs. sealed and box volume in general. i was using 2 kenwood9?? 1 to each sub its the cheap ass 2 channel kenwoods that say 600w on the front i forget the model number they were 2 eclipse 12" aluminum DVC's and I was using the sealed well enclosure reg not deep .......one of them blew :mad: i was so pissed since i bought the eclipses NEW from tweeter like 2 years ago i payed $800 for em together...so i still have the blown one and i sold the other on ebay for like $200 and bought the HX2 and steve was nice enough to cut me a deal on the new passenger side stealth and we had a hell of a time getting it to fit in a box...the magnet on that thing is enormous. but im quite happy now my system is neatly installed and I have my ttop storage back with just as good of bass.

I would just save some extra money and get the two 12"s.


Off topic: I have three 15" Kicker XPLs in my Blazer and finally took two of them out. My truck was falling apart. :lol:
