Idle Screw...Kuruption562 10-27-2003, 02:50 AM What happens if you mess without idle screw on the throttle body without disconnecting or doing it the proper way? Cuz i was messin with it a while back and i noticed that after that my car started trippin, holla. Irocvette355 10-27-2003, 02:53 AM Always do it the right way..now the Throttle Position Sensor is getting a wrong reading...I think it sould be 0.52.-0.54 volts. Kuruption562 10-27-2003, 03:04 AM What to do now? What are signs of this sensor trippin? How do i fix this? Irocvette355 10-27-2003, 03:13 AM The only way to check if the sensor is bad is to put a voltmeter on it. Go get yourself a haynes automotive manual...that has the correct procedure... i would get mine but its all the way in my garage and its raining like hell  Kuruption562 10-27-2003, 04:37 AM Im not fimiliar with such manual. Any more help? aklim 10-27-2003, 10:20 AM You, my firend, have just screwed up your IAC setting and TPS setting. Do this (http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/tpimod2.shtml) Another method is if you have a scanner. You can turn the idle screw till it reads between 20-30 counts in the IAC counts section. Then reset your TPS to 0.54V Kuruption562 10-27-2003, 01:56 PM I get everything except where i am supposed to put the paper clip... ...Take the paper clip and open it up and form it into a big "U" shape. Insert the clip ends into the ALDL in the 'A' and 'B' pins. what is the ALDL aklim 10-27-2003, 02:41 PM here (http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/faq/thirdgen.shtml) | ||
