after im done with performance which will be a while i wanna do a system but im not to sure yet. For the subs i was planning on 2 e15a's but im not sure if this will be overkill. Im not doing anytype of competitions but i just want loud clean bass. Would one 12a be enough. How loud would it be compared to two sony 12's XS-L121P5. A friend of mine has this system but i want one quite a bit louder and when he turns them up they sound like they are working to hard. Any help

Two e15s could be considered overkill--especially since you said you weren't competing. But how about two e12A's or any e12s for that matter. Those would whip the pants of any two sony 12s. It's just hard to say for sure if one would be enough without knowing more about his setup or being able to listen to it. :D

the reason its either 1 12 or 2 15's is because of the price difference two e12 a arent far of from 2 15a because of the box and the speakers are about the same price 20 bux difference each. If i did 1 12 it would be in a drivers side fiberglass box that ive seen on here before if i did the 15's it would be from subthump thats why

Ok i did some calculations based on how much air is moved and i think i should just go with the 2 15's how good would the response be from those because i know the bigger the sub the responce isnt as fast for like alternative and metal music. Would the e15a's be good for that they will have 1.75 cubic feet each in a sealed enclosure. Or should i make it smaller to use the recomended 1.5 cubic feet.

I had 2 eclipse 12in Alum dvcs and now I have 1 rockford 10" power HX2 and I think the bass is louder and clearer might be cause of the amp too tho.

Two 15a's is going to be HELLA loud. You should have no worries about beating your friend's sonys.... what amp you powering them with?

It wasnt a matter of beating his system it is that his isnt powerful enough for me i think the one 12 would be able to beat it based on how much air is moved but then i decided i might as well go big and put the 2 15's im either gonna use the avionixx 1200.1 or the 1800.1 most likely the 1800 though. Once again anyone know if i should use 1.75 or 1.5 per sub.

That's right! Go big or go home! Remember now, the A-series has dual 2 ohm voice coils. Remember that when you go huntin for an amp. Go with 1.75. I don't think you'll have any worries about SQ.
