Me + 2 passengers Vs. Stock Evo

well i was following my friends out to watch their race, formula vs s13 coupe with sr20det swap @ 14 psi (coupe pulled lidded formula by 1.5 cars from a 60 ish roll ..formula is auto)

anyway, on the way, we see an evo

i have the camera man in shot, and an Fbod owner from THIS VERY OWN SITE SITTING IN A HONDA!!! :eek:

anyway

pull along side the evo, balding dude looks straight ahead then takes off then slows down...i do a quick 3rd gear pull past him, then he hits it again, so i drop it down again and do a 3-4 pull again and put a bus or so on him

second run, i get along side him again and wait for him to go...he gets a good jump on me, my hamsters spool up hardcore and i pretty much rape him by 3-4 cars before he brakes and lets off..

Do hondas get stolen all the ****ing time? yes. Pick up an issue of time, or read the paper once in a while, you'll see the integras (home of the b18 motor) are stolen at a rate of around 21 per 1000 vehicles vs the number 2 who was sub 10 per 1000...

my ignition system is completey stock. **** u if u dont believe me i dont care.

my fuel system consists of a replacement in-tank pump (255lph), bigger injectors (440cc) and a pressure regulator, with a standalone chip burning computer. THe injectors are at 90 ish % duty cycle at high boost @ 53 psi vac line off.

if u are smart, u will figure this out. if u are dumb like my friend steve Y here, u will continue to call bs on me and my stock civic.

You don't even tell where you are from. How are we going to steal a Civic when we don't know where it is? Why not list your mods in your sig. like a normal person? Maybe we want to hear the mods so we can learn something. Ever think of that? What does my car being "slow" have to do with anything? My car is nearly stock, yours has a motor swap, turbo, and who knows what else. I hope it would be faster than my nearly stock daily driver and only car (10,000+ miles per year).

I agree with FastZinTennessee. I don't doubt that your car is fast, or that you don't have the mods you say you do(even though i don't know what they really are). I highly doubt somebody is gonna still your car off of here without knowing where you live. I also know how you feel about the theft issue. My sister has had 2 civics stolen off her. One was fully modded apearence wise(no crazy body kit just a SI kit). The other completly stock. I seen how bad she was hurt by it so i understand. But if you don't post you location nobody besides the people that already know where you live is gonna jack your car. I know you shouldn't have to post your mods. But it does help sort out the confusion on how you beat the car that you say you did. You are right most people won't understand all the componets that you have on you car that makes it perform the way it does. But most people will understand big mods. i said that my car was turbo. not trying to be condescending here, but its pretty obvious then "how" i could've have beaten all those cars?

the motor is internally bone stock. so i could've then said, i just have bolt on's to be a real dick, but I didn't...i said it had a turbo.

i mean honestly, what else do u need to know? i have a log style manifold? my intercooler core measurements are 20x8.5x3 inches? my injectors are obd1 style saturated? my intercooler piping is 2.25" ? i use 10-40 motor oil?

with out the turbo, all the other **** will still make my car slow. sorry i didn't say "i have a turbo, and supporting mods"

as far as the theft issue, until u've had a car jacked from u, u'll never understand. posting on web boards is probalby why my other car got jacked in the first place. hate all you want, you're not the one out of a car after all is said and done and the car has been stolen.

Saying you have a turbo on a civc is lame. 150 hp + 70hp from a turbo is still a maybe low 14 second car. as for pulling on an evo.. my friend just got an evo and took it to the track, and he cant drive for crap. he got a best of a 15.5 @ 85 mph. maybe you raced him. and if i said i have a 3200 pound car with AWD and a 2.7l bi-turbo (and i wish i did) you would think it would run low 12's or somthing based on your logic. but it wouldnt because i just described a stock audi S4 that will get maybe a mid to low 14.

Well at least not imo. I like them for what they are. Generally i don't like them because about 95% of them that are modded are RICE. But to the people that like them, and actually put the time and effort to make them fast, i can definatly respect that. I have much more respect for somebody that puts the time to make a car fast then i do for somebody that just buys a fast car or some rich kid that just pays a shop to do all the work without any knowledge of how crap works.

Also Short Round how much PSI are you running on your car? I don't know what you run in the 1/4mile but you pulled from the evo pretty good. I ran a Turbo Civic a while back before i got my CAI and i pulled about 2-3 cars on him. The guy that owns the car knows a lot about cars also. So just saying that you have a Turbo civic with supporting mods doesn't mean much. I'm sure you will beat me pretty good but the turbo civic i raced didn't. So there is a big difference between different car setups and how they perform.

Not really. Like I told you before, there ARE people on this forum who do know a lot about imports, and it's the people like myself which help distinguish from who is telling the truth and who is being a troll. Saying "my car was turbo" could mean two entirely different things; it could mean a sweet t3/t4 setup like yours running very nice times... or it could mean you built a homemade kit with a dinky turbo on your SOHC motor and still can't break out of the 14's, like some of the people I've seen at my track. So yes there's a wide spectrum when it comes to certain mods.

You need to remember that your on an "enemy" forum. You can't just expect to come in here, post an impressive kills list and then not elaborate on your mods without not expecting to get attacked.

You say you're not serious all the time and that's fine, but remember you're typing over the internet, so it's difficult to differentiate between sarcasm and being a troll, especially when you are new and no one else knows you. Also, some people here are going to be ignorant morons regardless just because of what you drive, and to that you just have to let them go, they are helpless. I remember one time when I still had my DSM, and I went to HondaTech to ask a question about a certain turbo setup because we were in this big debate with a troll on the DSM site... the very first reply told me to "get lost troll.", when all I did was ask a simple question. Soon after the more respectable people helped me out when they realized I wasn't there to start trouble.

Your first post REEKED of trolling and you made a bad first impression on alot of people here. And because you drive an "Enemy" car it only made things worse. When I first joined here as a DSM owner, I got a few flames because I was the outsider. But I soon fit in because people realized I wasn't here to start trouble, but to just shoot the **** and learn a thing or two (now I have an F-Body so I'm really part of this forum).
