Hi, does anyone know where i can find an intake manifold for a 1983 camaro with a 305 crossfire injected engine that helps the engine breath better than the stock one?
Would it be easier to get more performance by just going to dual carbs? What would be involved with this?

Would i just be better off to drop a new engine in?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks

You would get better performance, just going carb. But dual carbs are useless in most applications. Just go with a nice intake, and single carb.

And if you have the resorces, it would be better to drop in another engine. The 305 isnt a great platform to start with for performance

Dump the "Cease fire" complex and choked set up and go with a nice 4 barrel single carb intake.

oh well here we go again. "take it off" and 'it's useless' people. you can get intakes off ebay. it's a lost cause asking about upgrading a crossfire here. go to these sites instead.

nothing but crossfire people.

on this site is my friend with an 83 crossfire and he'll help you with any questions. so will i.

his personal site

we put edelbrock TES 6872 headers, 3" catco 6007 cat, and 3" flowmaster cat back on his 305 and gained 1.13 secs in the quarter. believe me the intake is the least restriction at this point. we ported his stock intake and added a 2100 converter and gained another .3 in the quarter. it's all on his site.
