I'm working on tuning a 93 383 LT1 with M6 and had a question regarding idle speeds. I currently have the idle set to 875rpm when warm, but when I put the car in neutral and coast to a stop the idle stays up at about 1300 rpm until I come to a full stop and then it starts to come down to the 875 rpm setpoint. I'm wondering if this is normal and something that can be changed in the programing? I'd like the car to idle down quicker when stopped or coasting in neutral.

Thanks,
Rob

There is a table in TC that you can adjust for this, although I don't remember what the name of the table is. I know the reason why it does this, however. The main reason is to keep the engine RPM high enough to keep the accessories, such as the power steering, with enough strength to prevent them from slowing down. I've heard of people lowering the table and having no problems, though, so it was probably just one of those extra precautions GM likes to take. I've never changed mine, it doesn't bother me, so someone who has changed it post what the name of the table is.

I think it is IAC follower vs MPH.

Set them all to 1.0.

That should take care of it.
