Fuel line from pump to carb questions

I was wondering, I had to take my oem fuel line (from pump to carb) off of my car afew months ago before throwing it into storage, I don't remember why I took it off, but somewhere down the line, the fuel line got broken, so now I'm ready to pull the camaro back out of storage, and put it back on the road, but I need a fuel line.

I have regular rubber fuel line right now, its thick, I know it would 'work', but I'm worried about using it, because it has to be placed up the front of the camaros engine (you know how the steel lines go) I'm worried that if I use rubber fuel line there, it may rub against one of the belts or something, get ripped off, spill fuel, boom, because rubber is bendable, so if I take a hard turn, it might knocks into the moving parts, it might be dangerous right?


I don't know what I should do to replace the fuel line, I can't get steel line bent (don't know where to go to get it done) and I can't find already bent ones, any help would be good, I just need to know what would be the safest kind of line, and if it can go in the stock location, or where to get a oem steel fuel line:)

I using the stock qjet.

The steel line is way safer than the rubber line GM dosent make those lines anymore so you will have to make one or got to a junk yard and buy one I had to make mine It`s easy all you need to do is get a cheap bender and a 3/8 line just follow the bends of the factory line as much as possible and put it on.

Two words: zip ties. Heh heh.

If you're the nervous type now might be the time to rig up a nice braided steel type line. Put a good high-flow in-line fuel filter in there while you're at it and remove the stock filter that goes in the nose of the QJet.

You don't want to know how long I've been using a 4ft. piece of parts-store rubber fuel hose between my pump and my carb that sits WAY atop the blower. Dangerous? For sure.

Get some -6AN steel braided line and some fittings. Will work great and look good too.

I never even thought of the braided steel line go with that for sure
