For starters, where are you located? That would help alot. If in Illinois, while not having personal experience with either place, I have heard pretty good things about Speed Inc. and FLP. They both seem like decent places, but like i said, i have no personal experience.

I am looking to get some transmission work done. After thats

taken care of I am going to do Longtubes, true dual exhaust, I

was also thinking about a 396 stroker kit and a Moser 12 bolt.

Anything else in between as well.

If you're needing a motor built (or tranny for that matter), take it to Billingsley. :thumb:

I'm sure they can do anything else you're needing done as well, but they have turned out some pretty mean cars.

I've heard more great things about Speed, Inc. than I have bad. Most of the guys I run into at gatherings or shows have done lots of work there, including myself. Although I've had some fairly easy bolt-ons done (simply because I don't have the tools or space) I wouldn't hesitate with them doing more work on all my rides.

Also, with you being so close to Wauconda, it wouldn't hurt to check out Dyno Pro Performance. We had a dyno day there from www.fbodyowners.com that was a lot of fun. Don't know their reputation, but it might be worth looking into simply being so close to you.

Good luck!

Thankx joe cool, I also have had bolt ons done by Speed and

they have turned out ok. My buddy just got his longtubes, cam,

dyno tune, and a couple of other things done by speed, a day

later a head gasket blew, he took it to speed, they fixed it, 2

days passed and the opposite head gasket blew. They also

dynoed him at 290 at the wheels which is definatly not right.

Thats why I am looking for a better shop.

If you don't mind me asking, what company (or cam) did he use?
