Dry Ice

I was thinking about trying to dry ice some of my hail damage? Anyone know the process? how much, best time of day?? Just thought it would be easy to learn.

Some say it works, some don't. Never tried it though on anything. I'd like to hear. I thought it was for bigger dents than small hail spots though. Give it a shot!;)

Thanks for the reply. I love your car!! I saw it in earlier stages in a magazine. I am going to try to get some dry ice and try it this weekend.

Can you elaborate on this Dry Ice thing? How is it done?

i have a friend who is a body man and i had a old falcon with hail damage. He told me to put the car out in the sun on a hot day and maybe put a black tarp over it to get it really hot then remove the tarp and try dry ice. It was cool when he was doing the work on my mach 1 it had over 200 hail dents and most he took out by heating with a small torch and cooling with a wet rag.

Ive never heard of this dry ice thing. I have a few very small dents i'd like to get out. Let us know how it goes:thumb:

Did anyone see the Monster Garage episode where some guy tried this? They had to remove the entire panel he was working on! :eek: I would leave that one to experience - but the dry ice doesn't sound like much could go wrong.
