Lightbulb GM High Tech "Thunder Chicken" For Sale

The car has a fresh 398 MTI motor, fresh 12 bolt rear end and a list of upgrades.

Anyone who has followed the car should know that is is set of for the auto cross. The car is making about 500 hp at the crank.

It comes with two sets of wheels and tires and around 20 magaizes featureing the car. I am looking for right around 15K for the car. It is turn key, no tuning or anything needed. Here is a link to some pics of the car.

http://stropespeedshop.com/Project%20Thunderchicken.htm

I will consider partial trades.

I am looking for a road course car for DE and similar events--what mods have you made? Could you PM a list? I assume mods for autocross are not dissimilar from track mods.

It's so Hard to spend so much money onn a car and the sell it of less than half the cost of the parts, time and labor. I don't kow if I could sell my 95 383, ever. James

i read a few articles in GMhightech magazine about this car.........thats one hell of a deal........someone needs to jump on this!

i cant recall any track times.........has it been to the drag strip?........even with the autox suspension setup, it should still pull off some mid 11's i would guess.

The car turned in a high 11 second time slip a while before the car had this current rebuild on the motor. I have not had the time to go to the track and run the car. I am sure it will turn mid 11's with no problem at all.

I would rather take cash on the vehicle, and I am open to realistic offers. I have a Vette on the way and would like to free up some space here at the shop for it!

Thanks!

setup

so, since I don't have my back issues of GMHTP.... How is this car set up for auto-x? what class? SM2? CP?
I would think its not SM because of the 383 (over displacement) and also it has the drive shaft loop connecting the sub frames.
what are the suspension & chassis mods?
