I raced a Ford Harley truck today, I didn't know they were that fast!

I have an A4 1998 Z28 with only the K&N filter. It came with the 3.23 gears from the factory. I was driving home when I stoped at a stop light and on the other lane was a Ford Harley Davidson truck which looked like a year 2000+.

then the light turned green and the guy just slams on his gas and peels out, I also floored it a second later when I realized he wanted to race me, but the truck was freaken fast and I couldn't catch up until the next stop light.

The second stop light, this time I was ready and as soon as the light turned green, both of us floored it at the sametime, but this time I pulled in front of him a couple cars and I kept getting farther and farther away from him. I slowed down and we came into another stop light, but this time the guy said, "Impressive, not bad at all, what do you have under the hood?"

I said, "It's stock"

He said, "what size engine."

I told him, 5.7 LS1.

I asked him, "what do you have?"

He said he had a supercharger.

But I still beat him with my stock 1998 Z28 LOL!

Good kill! Dunno if you know or not, but he was probly stock too, they come with a s/c. But yea, if your not ready alot of the cars out there now can surprise ya.

theyre not fast he just got the jump on you.a lightning is a different story.

The Harley Davidson F-150s make only slightly less horsepower than the Lightnings, but they weigh much more. I believe they're only available in extended cab. Nice trucks, especially if you're into Harleys.

That truck was probably modded, one of our customers at work brought one in, he had done some mods, and just weighed it out of curiosity. 5720lbs:o

Well the OLD F150 Harley trucks used to be just this. Then they added the blower.

the old lightnings werent SCed either.:D

In 2001 the harley truck started coming with a supercharger, the 99-2000 did not. The only diff is the pulley, don't remember if it's the crank or s/c pulley, but that is the only thing that makes the diff between the harley and the lightning. Oh ya and he weighs about 1000 lb's more than the Lightning. I've seen those harleys in the 11's, that's freaking moving for a quad cab truck!!

I wasn't sure I was going to beat him before I came to the second stop light because his first launch was good and really fast. He had a head start on me the first stop light and thats why I couldn't catch up to him until we got to the second stop light. To tell you guys the truth, I was a little worried I might not be able to beat him, but eventually I did which even the guy in his Harley was surprised. I'm pretty sure he had some mods because he was a little cocky before I beat him.
