Funny how a brand new $35k+ "halo" sports car's biggest selling point is a feat met by a 10-year old F-body at what was nearly half the price.

I don't necessarily care for overly highlighted German engineering aspects in my American sports cars either, as noted in other tv/print ads.
On ther other hand, it's really going to be exciting to see where 5th gen performance will come in. It seems you could at least assume C5-esque numbers (sub 5.0sec 0-60mph, 170mph top spd) at what should be under $35k.
