DETAILS!!! You gonna tell the story or what? Don't give me the biscuit in pieces. I want the whole thing right now! Damon, Here goes the story. First and foremost, I didn't expect to win nor did I even expect to keep up ---- the best of curiousity got me I guess? Ok here goes. Driving down the road approx 20-30 mph and we both hit it. I immediately put a few cars on the TT Vette because he was spinning violently and I shut it down approx 90mph because the vette wasn't gaining. Just some stats for you based on my comment of "IF you didn't spin so much I would have lost"...... that Vette is putting 700+ rwhp to the ground. That was why I made that comment and I think that's a "fair" statement to be honest. The guy driving the Vette is a friend of mine and I didn't want to come off like I owned it and my Mustang is high and mighty (because it certainly isn't). I know full well that if he had a good sticky tire like I had (I run skinnies with Nittos on the street), he would have smoked me. His car has run 10's at the track already on street tires and that was going in and out of the throttle due to severe tire spin. Do I think that was a "lame" statement? NO. Again, I would certainly hope that a car pushing that much horsepower will destroy my little Mustang. Am I arrogent enough to come online and say that I "beat a TT Lingenfelter" without a caveat? NO. It was all in good fun and between friends and that's all. I guess the morale to this story is: Anything can and will happen on the street. In this case, I had sticky tires and he didn't which was the factor. Here are some #'s you're looking for: My car made a whopping 343rwhp/336rwtq with only 6psi of boost. I'm now running approx 10psi of boost. The vette as I said I believe from what I heard is pushing in excess of 700rwhp. Cheers. Antz97ZNJ 10-12-2003, 04:28 PM man id love to see one of those let alone run one 1BadAzzGT 10-12-2003, 10:45 PM Originally posted by Antz97ZNJ man id love to see one of those let alone run one Exactly my point. BlackHatch, Like me now, Bill the owner very very seldom does stuff like this on the street. It was a freak thing which I'm sure you understand ---- too much to risk. Sax1031 10-13-2003, 02:07 AM BlackHatch, What was your 1/8 mile time for your Busa on the 9.80 run? I have a lower, strapped, remapped, and slip on exhaust 02 GSXR 1000. I was just wondering what you were running in the 1/8. And trust me their are some cars around my area that run 8.90s-9.40s at 140+ that drive on the street and run the times with DOT approved ET Streets. I know a guy with a 383 in a new TA that runs alot of gas and run 5.70s through the 1/8. He drove the car to the track with the ac on. BlackHatch 10-13-2003, 03:17 PM Couldn't really tell you. My buddy logged those times. I weight about 280-290 suited so my times are not so impressive as his at 175 suited. Sucks being tall and heavy. 2fast4u247 10-23-2003, 12:22 AM the lingenfelter tt will take it to a hayabusa espically urs they have 725bhp and 650lbs-ft of torque and run 9.50 at 145mph with street tires on with a top speed of 230+ BlackHatch 10-23-2003, 09:11 AM Originally posted by 2fast4u247 the lingenfelter tt will take it to a hayabusa espically urs they have 725bhp and 650lbs-ft of torque and run 9.50 at 145mph with street tires on with a top speed of 230+ Please preface all uneducated posts properly first. 1. There are different levels of the Ligenfelter TT combo 2. I have personally seen video of a guy that I know on a busa (stock) pulling a 650rwhp TT vette up to about 165 mph when the race was shut down. 3. Several factors influence the outcome of the race....rider, driver, traction, starting speed, etc. 4. Do you even know what is done to my busa and why would you assume that the numbers and modifications in my signature are current....? Eitherway, I think your blanket comment is a little out of left field. Perry93TransAm 10-23-2003, 09:52 AM Yeah well my daddy can beat up yours.....lol Come on guys paper doesnt matter just like Black hatch says anytrhing can and will happen on the street, concrete is not allways a good Drag racing surface, add street tires to the mix and its like ice skating....lol 2fast4u247 10-23-2003, 03:27 PM yea u are rigth there are 3 different combos and i was speaking on the main one the first lingenfelter tt was the one with 750 bhp and was featured in car and drive so if i wasn't clear thats the one i was talking about the other have 550bhp and 650bhp and if ur numbers aren't current in ur signature maybe u should update it then so there is no confusion thanks:bow: ltlhomer 12-15-2003, 05:47 PM Maybe you should preface street tires with "m/t et 'street' tires" so people don't think ANY car is pulling 9's with off-the-shelf comp t/a's. ;) Jcb890 12-15-2003, 06:52 PM i saw 1 of those bad boys run up at New England Dragway when i went up. the thing was SICK. he had like a 5.0 60ft, lol and still ran 11s easy. the thing was a beast. but then he ran a low 11 and they kicked him out cuz he didnt have a roll cage. And I just have a little 1000. I know a guy with a Turbo 1000 that makes 250+ to the wheel that would love to brake it off in a 100K+ TT Vette. Also the Hennessey Viper just hit 8.9 in the quarter, becoming the fastest street car made. Uhmm Ok. First I'm not trying to flame you or anything but if his car runs 10s at the track on street tires then yours would have to too to beat him like that. Sounds like :BS: to me but I'll let you have this one ;) HeavyChevySS 12-19-2003, 09:49 AM COOL STORY TIM ! I know your edrenalin had to be pumpin for that one. Good job. My guess would be turbo. Next Level Racing makes many turbo busa's that dyno 300+. I know they have a turbo busa that dynoed 480 to the ground spinning the tire on the dyno. busa1300 12-22-2003, 03:07 PM Mc Xpress turbo system. 4 extra injector, 1 big inner cooler, I smallish turbo charger. Pump 92 oct fuel. All stock motor internals except spacer plate and clutch springs. Sax1031: Next level racing sells these kits. Dennis my tuner built a busa for a guy that make 570 Rwhp and the guy in sweden that make the kit has a set up that made 640Hp before blowing the head gasket. No other damage to motor on the stock bore. I am thinking about bumping mine up to around 400Hp this spring. Your bike is awesome.:D Maybe when I get some money I will look to adding a turbo to my 1000. It only makes about 155 to the wheel. I could not imagine doubling for tripling that number on a 400ish pound bike. 1BadAzzGT 12-23-2003, 11:14 PM Originally posted by HeavyChevySS COOL STORY TIM ! I'm still running minimal boost right now and relearning the car. BTW folks, that TT Vette that I ran has run 12.6@135mph  I originally said the car has run 10's but that was incorrect and was his old vette -- my fault. Brit Iroc 12-27-2003, 06:59 PM Also the Hennessey Viper just hit 8.9 in the quarter, becoming the fastest street car made. ....or is it the Dauer 962 Porsche?. Mike 92LX 01-01-2004, 04:42 PM "Hennessey Viper just hit 8.9 " I guess that means Hennessey is out of jail. What a crook and scam artist he is. Solidous_Snake 01-01-2004, 11:15 PM John Hennessey Rules! He is the MAN when it comes to Vipers. It aprears Lingenfelter came out victorious over the Vemon 800 in Car and Drivers Super Cars Compairison, though. What an article it was....
