I need some info on where I should look for the gathering of people. I dont want to hear from you if I do not recognize your name or have someone I know verify who you are.
I plan on bringing a group from the Detroit area out there tomorrow to see what I can get going. Need someone to tell me where I should look.....or maybe a fellow board member to give me a heads up on whats fast and whats not.

I didnt go out to Flint since I didnt get a reply. I didnt know if it would have been worth it to take a ride out there. Apparently it was dead from what I heard, but I dont know.

 

It should have been happening at the "spot". There was a huge car show at Hardies, the last of the year. There were a few heavy hitters there & talk of going down there. You just gotta know where to look. The serious ones dont hang out where the ricers are. If they drive by, they keep on a truckin.

Alpine, shoot me your # & I'll get ahold of you when I'm going down there, or better, when I'm already there & there are alot of people there. A new car always gets under rated, so you should do well. FYI, there are a few 7-8 sec cars that show up once in awhile.

My experience is that they all think that they have 9 sec cars, but in reality, it's 1% 7-8 sec, 5% 9 sec, 10% 10 sec, and the rest are 11 sec or slower. I'm probably being pretty generous.

Oh ya, you're a fool if you wait until the 3 count to leave. They all leave on 1. I learned that the first time when a Stang took off as soon as I looked over at him for the count. He was way out in front of me as I thought to myself "Hmm, it must be time to go." Hammered it, hit the button, and by 80 I blew by him like he was standing still. His only claim to fame was that he got the jump on me. That was my only race down there as the car has been in a constant stage of re construction since. So, they will underestimate me also, I'm sure. Just dont beat them any more than you have to & you'll get plenty of runs. Good luck.

I was out there last night (Friday), but in my truck. I am not impressed by the cars, or the way they race out there. There was a few nice cars, but it seems EVERYONE has a full roll cage in there cars, even if they go 14`s.
I will either be out there tomorrow or next Saturday.
I talked to some older guy in a black 69 RS camaro and he said that Saturdays are the night to be out there. I was at a guys house, whom I am sure you know who I am talking about.
