I was wondering if any of you guys can help a friend of mine out.
Does anyone know of a reputable local shop that can do a clutch install? Someone that you have had a good experience with. Thank you very much for any help you can give.
PS What is the best clutch for the dollar?

Not sure about local since your in Miami and I am more in the Orlando area, but I just had a new clutch put in about a month ago and it cost $685 for a new stock clutch (LT1), smoothing of the flywheel, new fluids, etc. About the same price I was quoted by everyone else. Hope this helps

WOW! $685.00 Do it your self and if you have any questions, ask us or consult the hanes manual for the car. It takes about 1 1/2hr to do it. But maby it's just me. By the way, this is my 600th post :D

Labor was only $285 of that-the rest was the clutch, flywheel, etc. Not a bad price I didn't think-both my brother and dad are pretty good at working on cars, but didnt really want to touch the clutch-they've torn engines apart before, but thought a clutch would be tough. If you have the means to do so then I'd say go for it-but personally it was worth the labor for me to get it done in one day and have a 1 year warranty on it.

Ok Erik, now it dosent seem so bad. 2-300 bucks in labor plus the year warranty isn't a bad deal.
