PhantomTA 10-09-2003, 03:24 PM Make Tom and Russ come! Payouts will depend on how many people come.. ill make sure Jay see's this so he can reply Pro Stock John 10-09-2003, 03:24 PM Reading over the rules, there are two classes, a bracket class and a Quick 16 class. So with the 16 class, how does that work, everyone runs 1-2 qualifying passes and then the top 16 get set up in a ladder? This is a heads up ladder class I take it? derty 10-09-2003, 06:20 PM John, The heads up 16's have sometimes been just that, heads up. You make a few passes throughout the day. Everyone qualifies and then they start calculating the bump. As the day progresses the lights at the burnout box indicate the bump time to the driver. As long as you make a pass during the day, that will qualify you as long as it's one of the 16. I think the rounds are simple, just line em up. No 1vs8 ladder or anything last I remembered. There has been cash in the past to the winner, but it's not like winning the jackpot or anything. It's usually a couple hundred bucks to the winner. No idea about the runner ups, maybe a door prize or something. A picture of Debler or Frezza to go on your nightstand or something. Worse comes to worse, my two qualifying passes will be for my license at M8. dreamer1q 10-09-2003, 09:37 PM Originally posted by derty Worse comes to worse, my two qualifying passes will be for my license at M8. If that is so, I will have a licensed friend of mine there for ya too. Q Pro Stock John 10-10-2003, 10:48 AM So each winner of the first round comes back and races other cars on a random basis, I just want to make sure. derty 10-10-2003, 10:54 AM I believe that's how it was last year as well as at the CZ28 nationals. Ultimately you're left with the two best cars, so the staggering of the field isn't really that important. You don't get points for going rounds, so that negates the bracketry involved. Hopefully Debler can come in here and say something. JasonD 10-11-2003, 07:35 PM Originally posted by Pro Stock John What are the payouts and prizes for the M8 event? That all depends on the amount of people that show up. For each class, it is usually something like $300 to the 1st place winner, $200 for the 2nd and $100 for the 3rd (plus trophy, of course). Something like, that I can't recall exactly at the moment. It could be more, it could be less, again it depends on the turnout but that is a ballpark idea. As long as we have around 100+ cars, you can safely assume that is what it will be. From the talk that is going around, I do not see that being a problem at all. I have to double check with the track (my brain is fried, I had a long day so I am not thinking straight) but I am 99% sure that is how we will do it. I will verify, I have to call the track anyway. It sure could be cool to see some of my old friends from that area, I hope you call can make it!
