I learned the long way... Don't buy anythng from them unless it's a dealer specific item... ie Dash lights. Look on ebay or buy it from SLP or from www.suncoastcreations.com. Do a search, there's a couple more companies that will sell it to u cheaper than what GM will ever do. DON"T BUY FROM GM.. U are throwing away ur money if u do.!!!! u should be able to save more than $500 if u don't buy from GM. Best bet is to look for it privately. A ram air hood shouldn't cost you more than $1000 canadian. Anything less is a great deal. Try the wreckers, or bodyshops. Be patient, after all ur car is parked. EDIT: I finished this post and looked at the top of the screen, and the vendor advertisemnet was flashing 20% off ram air hoods from suncoast creations. Check their website. SBainsTA 10-08-2003, 01:07 AM the only reason , GM and SLP ask for serial numbers is because only a X amount of SS's are made.. therefore ensuring originality and assuring people who buy the real SS's that they have the only authentic versions. That's why they ask for serial #'s. It protects the investment of the people who have the original SS's.
