im gonna be going to college next fall so now is the time for me to be narrowing down my choices of what school i wanna go to. ive pretty much got it down to u of m dearborn, u of d mercy, wayne state, and kettering. as an under grad engineering student, specifically what should i study. the way i understand it the schools dont offer "automotive engineering" or "automotive systems engineering" in under grad (grad only). so what should i go into... "mechanical engineering" maybe? do you guys know of any other schools in MI that i may wanna look into? lastly does anyone know what the co-op programs are like at these schools?

i'll give u an honest tour of kettering, ins and outs and talk to admissions. I'll show u all the loopholes, back doors, easy roads and things to focus on. I'm a sophmore now so I recall my freshman year all too well (except weekends :o)
I'm one of the few smart enough to keep in contact with my admisisions personanel and co-op manager so I have SOME pull in the admissions office.... tiney but some.

My personal opinoin would be to stay away from Kettering like the plague. However that was all hashed out in a previous post, so I'll leave it at that.

did you leave because you had a 4.0 and a good co-op job and because you worked hard?

IMO LTU is the best for ME & EE but, it's pretty expensive. They have the entire school set up on the wireless internet, so you always have all the info you need before going to class. U of M Dearborn has a great Masters program.

I go to UM-Dearborn. My first month there has been pretty good. They're supposed to have a good Mech. Engineering program, plus its 5 minutes from my house. Good school and its pretty cheap too. I liked the 30th anny Z28 that parked behind me when I got out of class earlier, which was a pleasant suprise. Well, thats my opinion. I've got to leave for class.
