Just ran a new best time thanks to some killer air, see sig, but smoked the clutch the next run. It pulled hard then fell on its face, hit second and it felt like neutral. I just coasted off the track, then got a whiff of burnt clutch. I let it cool down and it got me home. Now question is what is a good streetable clutch that will handle ET streets and a sticky track for more than 20 or so runs?
Iam using the spec stage 3 carbon/carbon and it works great. Iam not running slicks and dumping it at 4500 either but I do personally know 2 guys that are and the clutchs are holding strong with one of them having more than 60 passes on it! That car also runs consistant 1.7 60' times.
I have the stock rear with 4.10's so I leave the line just above 1000rpm.
The clutch is very streatable with just a touch of chatter from a dead stop if you ride it with no revs.
